Upcoming Broad Street Improvement Project Construction Activities Between 9th/James Brown Boulevard and 11th Streets

To keep our downtown residents and business owners informed, we have a few updates on the Broad Street Improvement Project. Our goal for the coming weeks is to wrap up paving between 9th/James Brown Blvd and 10th Streets to get parking back to normal before moving median work to the next block.

Week of January 19: 9th/James Brown Blvd to 10th Street Crews will be paving the inside lanes between 9th/James Brown Blvd and 10th Streets. This work is scheduled to restore the diagonal parking spaces in this block, ensuring they are open and available for public use by the end of the week.

Week of January 26: 10th to 11th Street Work will shift to the inside lanes (median) between 10th and 11th Streets. This section of work is expected to last up to one month, pending weather and any unforeseen site conditions.

Traffic Pattern & Parking:

• Lane Configuration: During this time, the inside lanes will be closed, while the outside lanes will remain open for through-traffic. This is the same traffic pattern currently in place between 9th/James Brown Blvd. and 10th Street.
• Parking Availability: While the 10th–11th Street block will see slight parking impacts during median work, parking between 9th/James Brown Blvd and 10th Streets will be fully restored to alleviate any concerns.

Drivers should drive carefully and are encouraged to plan for minor delays.
