The New Pace of Progress: Finalized Construction Timeline for Broad Street
We are pleased to share the finalized construction schedule for the Broad Street Improvement Project. Following the City commission approval of a Change Order to accelerate this work, the City of Augusta Engineering Department and the project contractor have met to agree upon this updated timeline.
This plan is designed to significantly speed up construction between 5th and 13th Streets. By deploying additional crews and resources immediately, the City is ensuring that the most disruptive work in the heart of downtown is finished by the end of 2026. This schedule represents a major commitment to return Broad Street to its full, vibrant potential as quickly as possible.
