Telfair and 8th Update: Intersection Closure

Starting Monday, August 11^th, the intersection of Telfair Street and 8^th Street will be closed to install new underground utilities as part of the ongoing TIA project. Access to nearby businesses, including the Federal Courthouse and Schools will be maintained. Detours will be in place for the duration of the construction. This work is expected to take atleast a month (weather permitting). For Patrons wishing to access the Post Office southbound on 8^th Street, a special detour will be added to guide drivers from Greene Street around to 7^th Street, then to Fenwick, then to the Post Office parking lot off of 8^th Street. Expect significant delays in this area as there is also existing traffic control setup due to the new arena construction. Please use alternate routes if possible.
