6th Street Update: Project Complete
The project is complete except a few small items. No further traffic control is expected.
6th Street Update: Work Wrapping Up
No lane closures are expected for the next couple of weeks along 6th Street. Work will continue in isolated spots along the shoulder.
6th Street Update: Start of Pavement Work
The contractor will begin grinding out the old asphalt pavement around the railroad tracks for the next two weeks. Expect lane and intersection closures during grinding operations. The operation will start at the Reynolds Street side of 6th Street and continue to the Walton Way overpass. While the grinding machine moves down the tracks, lane closures and detours will be in place to direct traffic around the work. Traffic flow will slow in these areas as the traffic control adjusts to the grinding operations.
6th Street Update: Outside Lane Closures
Lane closures will be ongoing along 6th Street along the length of the project. Detours will be in place when a lane is closed. Expect delays when traffic control is in place.
6th Street Update: Shoulder Work
Expect single, outside lane closures along 6th Street throughout the next couple of weeks for work on the outside of the road.
6th Street Update: Concrete Work Continues
Expect single lane closures for both directions along 6th Street between Reynolds Street and Fenwick Street for continued concrete work. Detours will be in place when lanes are closed.

Lane closures and shifts will be in place along 6th Street between Reynolds Street and Broad Street for the next few weeks. Expect slow travel or detours along this street.
6th Street Update: Shoulder Work Continues
Expect single lane shifts and temporary lane closures along 6th Street between Walton Way and Broad St. Outside shoulder concrete work will continue until the Masters Tournament.
6th Street: Work Continues on West Side
The western half of 6th Street will continue to be closed periodically for shoulder and road work between Telfair Street and Greene Street. During those times, only northbound traffic will be allowed along 6th Street.
