Broad Street Update: James Brown Park Construction Begins

Starting Monday, July 28^th, the inside lanes of Broad Street between 8^th Street and 9^th Street (adjacent to the Augusta Common) will be closed so construction on the James Brown Linear Park can begin. The middle of the roadway will be demolished, along with the adjacent parking well. This isa long-term closure. Any parking along the outside of Broad Street will be closed to make way for the travel lane. There will be at least one travel lane in each direction open at all times during this phase of construction.
