Broad Street Update: Construction Activities

Starting today, preconstruction activities will begin along Broad Street between 13^th Street and Gordon Hwy. Expect work along the outside of the roadway including preconstruction activities such as demolition and landscape removal for the next 5 weeks as follows:

Week of April 21^st – The activities will take place between 13^th Street and 11^th Street.
Week of April 28^th – The work will take place between 11^th Street and James Brown Blvd (9^th Street).
Week of May 5^th – The activities will take place between James Brown Blvd (9^th street) and 7^th Street.
Week of May 12^th – The work will take place between 8^th Street and 7^th Street.
Week of May 19^th – The activities will take place between 7^th Street and Gordon Hwy Overpass.

The work will take place from approximately 08:00 a.m. to 04:30 p.m. each weekday. Expect intermittent outside lane closures including nearby parking stalls and parking wells where necessary. Also expect minor traffic delays through these areas while preconstruction activities are taking place in the blocks mentioned above.

No detours will be in place, but outside lane closures will be installed each day as the work progresses. All access to businesses will be maintained unless it’s absolutely necessay to close for a short period of time. On-site contractors are responsible to ntify businesses ahead of time if any interuption is necessary per contract specifications.
