Broad Street and Telfair Street Construction and Traffic Update – Week of November 10

Progress continues on the Broad Street Improvement Project, with active work occurring in multiple sections of Broad and Telfair Streets this week.

Broad Street Work Areas

• St. Sebastian Way to 13th Street: Crews will be grading the roadbed and setting up GAB on both sides of the roadway. Stormwater pipe installation is also taking place between 14th and 13th Streets.
• 10th Street to 9th Street: Crews will be performing demolition in the east parking pit.
• 9th Street to 8th Street: In the James Brown Linear Park, crews will be pouring concrete and setting up pavers.

Parking Information

• St. Sebastian Way to 13th Street: No parking is available in this section due to one lane of traffic being open and active construction throughout the remaining roadway.
• 9th Street to 8th Street: Parking remains available adjacent to buildings; inside lanes will be sectioned off with barrels while work continues inside the James Brown Linear Park.
• 10th Street to 9th Street: Parking remains available adjacent to buildings; inside lanes will be sectioned off with barrels due to work in the parking pits.

The full-depth section between St. Sebastian Way and 13th Street is expected to be completed within the next month.

Telfair Street Work Areas

• 9th Street to 8th Street: Crews will be grading for curb forming and pouring.
• 8th Street to 7th Street: Crews will be laying stormwater pipe.
• 7th Street Intersection: The intersection will be closed to thru traffic while crews install stormwater pipes.

Parking Information

• 9th to 8th Streets: Access to parking lots within this section remains open.
• 8th to 7th Streets: Access to parking lots within this section remains open.
• 7th Street Intersection: Closed to thru traffic while work is underway.

These sections of work are expected to continue over the next two weeks.
