Augusta Traffic Update – Telfair Street Lane Closures Between 5th Street and 6th Street Begin January 12, 2026

Beginning Monday, January 12, 2026, Telfair Street between 5th and 6th Streets will experience partial lane closures to allow for the installation of reinforced concrete storm pipes.

This drainage project is expected to last approximately one month, with the first phase scheduled for the first two weeks. Please be advised that there will be no on-street parking available in this area for the duration of the work. Drivers should follow detour signs and are encouraged to plan accordingly as minor delays are expected.
